Can you deal with a broken key in the door?

Yes – in 99% of cases we can extract the broken piece. If you have a spare key, you'll be able to use the door as before.

What should I avoid when a key breaks?

Avoid internet tips involving melted plastic or glue that are supposed to stick to the broken piece – they usually just make things worse.Also remember that cylinders are made of relatively soft metal, so don't try to poke around with a screwdriver. Ask us for professional help instead.

What if I have a spare key inside?
